Get help and answers from state-licensed peer-support professionals for fire, EMTs and police.
We provide support for each other. We help first responders cope, because we understand what they are going through. We were there as first responders ourselves.
The work life of first responders can take a physical and emotional toll. It is the nature of the job. Repeated high stress and personal injury scenarios over time can test everyone’s coping skills and the associated stigma that can come with seeking help. This is where we focus our efforts. It does not matter when or where; we are designed to be there 24/7/365 for safe, confidential peer support in the moment it is needed.
Support may include:
• Reflective listening
• Emotional support techniques
• Modeling or suggesting healthy behaviors
• Sharing information about additional resources available
• Follow-up: We will circle back to reconnect
Are you feeling anxious? Confused? Isolated? Depressed or suicidal? We provide support to first responders—fire, EMTs and police—confidential and free to individuals through an annual paid partnership with their first-responder employer or organization.
If you are a first-responder organization and would like to get involved or schedule an event, training or workshop, please reach out to us.
