Joe Kegley

Born in St. Paul and raised in the Twin CitiesÂ’ northside, Joe Kegley started in public safety as an EMT with South Washington County Ambulance in 1981. He then merged with the Cottage Grove Department of Public Safety. His law enforcement career started part time as a peace officer, again with Cottage Grove. He then spent over 30 years at the city of Hastings and became a volunteer firefighter for the city of St. Paul Park. During his tenure at Hastings, he held multiple positions, including patrol, multi-agency assistant group (MAAG), drug task force, board of directors, lieutenant and police chief. He is now serving as assistant chief at the St. Paul Park Fire Department.
